Mike (Predator) Six
I started playing PLO8 seriously in Mid 2005. Before I ever sat down at a PLO8 table, I had the benefit of seeing my mentor play 25,000 hands while I sat next to him and built my bankroll playing NLHE. This was invaluable to have someone to talk about hands with when I got started. It helped me avoid the learning curve that most players experience when starting to play PLO8. I had great success in cash games and began my career with a streak of 33 straight winning months. During that time, I also started playing SNGs, found them to be very profitable and have been on the PLO8 leaderboard ever since. In mid-2007, I started playing more NLO8 and developed an extremely successful short stacking strategy. I probably didn't make too many friends, but I built my bankroll to be able to take shots at the biggest PLO8 and NLO8 stakes, $50/$100 and $100/$200.
I attended Miami University (1993-97) receiving degrees in Statistics and Operations Management. In December 2008, I left my 100k/yr job after two years of my part time poker income approaching my work income. I had big plans to win the 1st $5000 2009 World Series of Poker PLO8 event, but my AA4Jds couldn't beat Chip Jetts AA34. I support my family of four on my poker income as my wife stays home and takes care of our children. I can be found today grinding stakes from pot limit $100 - $1000 and $16 - $225 SNG's under the screen names:
